Princess Margaret Rose. I got her on the Princess' birthday.
But as I got to know her, I found she had some things in common with her royal name-sake. Mostly because she likes sitting with her legs spread showing off her girl bits, and can't stop scoffing food the way Princess Margaret scoffed alcohol.

My black lab.."Oakie"....he had been given to me as a puppy about 2 weeks before Timothy McVeigh blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City back in 1995 and I hadn't named him yet..and during news coverage of the bombing I heard a reporter call the people of Oklahoma "Oakies", so I named him "Oakie" in honor of the people of Oklahoma City.

2 poodles: Chaucer and Jackson Pollock. Jackson was originally named Julio Iglesias (by the German breeder when he got his papers), but that's just a silly name for a poodle.

Belle is my dog. I picked it because I was four at the time and it was the first name that came into my head that wasn't my own. Later, I learned that it means "beautiful" in French. Ironic because she really isn't "beautiful" but she is cute. I should have named her mignon.

Muddy, because of all the black Labs in the litter, she was the one who had brown on her legs as though she'd been running in mud and it dried. She's 12 now and still running.
