Last answers is good. I'd say to be sure that you are cleaning under your foreskin (roll it back, use some soap on your fingertips to lather up your glans and under your foreskin folded back, rinse, and be sure to DRY under there too when you're drying off!). Also, one of the purposes of body hair is to trap our pheromes or sexual scents. Pubic hair tends to be coarse and traps the sweat that carries these pheromes, so be sure to clean your pubic hair too (lather with soap, then rinse). And also dry it well. And of course the rest of it down there too--your scrotum all around, and the entire area, and dry everything well when you're finished.

There are two causes of genital odor that seem against reason, but they are very common.

1) Do you shave there or trim very close? If so, there is your likely problem. Pubic hair allows a little air to circulate in the area. Without hair, the area gets stale and molds (fungus) and bad bacteria can grow very rapidly. The more hair, the less likely you are to stink. Just let the hair grow, and your problem may disappear.

2) Do you use anti-bacterial soap? There are beneficial bacteria that live on your skin, and the anti-bacterial soap kills them. They are what keeps fungus from thriving on your skin. That soap should be called "pro-fungus" -- never use it on any body part except your hands. It will take a while for the good bacteria to return, but the sooner you stop using pro-fungus soap, the sooner you'll stop smelling bad. If you shower more than once a day, that can also encourage fungal growth.

If neither 1 nor 2 is true of you, then try getting some chlorophyll at a health food store. It's 100% harmless, and it will stop bad odors everywhere in your body. Even your poop will smell less bad. It's impossible to overdose on chlorophyll; it's really very good for you.

I'm assuming that if you are lucky enough to have a foreskin that you retract it to wash under it when you shower or after you ejaculate.

Well, it is clear you need to have a think about this and rectify your hygiene practices.
First, to understand why. The smell you are talking about is caused by bacteria.
This indicates that you are washing, but not correctly. It is something that children are taught very early, but sometimes for various reasons, parents are unable to talk about this to their child.
You need to be shown what to do by a professional. Here's what i suggest:
In the first instance, if you are comfortable talking about this with your doctor, that's fine. If not, there is a really effective way of avoiding the feeling of embarrassment. Write down all the symptoms and your method of cleaning yourself. Include in this the name of the cleaning product : soap, whatever.
Then, make an appointment to see your doctor, taking the written details with you.
From this, the doctor should be able to understand the problem and should be understanding. You may find the doctor will speak to you very frankly, but kindly. You will be recommended a certain form of treatment to clear up the area and then effective cleaning procedure will be introduced along with a recommended cleaning soap, anti-bacterial.
Finally, and this happens more often than you think, there could be an allergic reaction to the tender genital anatomy to the underwear you are wearing or the fluid/powder being used when laundering your underwear. I wish you well and try to be as honest as possible with the doctor. It is not new to them and they will not be offended by anything you can tell them.

If you've got foreskin and have lots of smegma, on top of wiping it away in the shower you could try removing it several times a day. Also if bacteria buildup is an issue, try a cream with vitamin A, like Man1 Man Oil. Finally, reduce sweat in the area -- trimming hair and/or using a powder to keep things dry can help!
