I have a pre employment drug screen on Wednesday the 13th. I took 7.5 mg of Valium on June 1st. That will be roughly 300 hours apart. The cutoff on benzo drug screens is 300 ng/mL. How can you determine if your level is under the cutoff? I've looked on various websites that says the half life is anywhere from 20 to 200 hours...

You can make an estimated calculation based on blood volume. Adults have 4-6 liters of blood in the body. If you use the low number to be safe, you will find that the amount you took is equal too 5.333 ng/ml. Even using a high margin of error like +/- 100 ng/ml you would not surpass the cutoff with that dose.

I take Klonopin and Ativan by prescription, and I am tested upon every inpatient hospitalization. The cutoff for the test I take is 200 ng/ml. That level has been detected in my blood one out of the last 5 tests and I am slim, 5'7", 135 LBS

you can only tell by a drug test. Since we are all different in body size, metabolism rate, etc. there's no way to say exactly that in a 180lb man the quantity in ng/ml a 7.5mg dose would be. Also half-life is the time where 50% of the drug is eliminated by metabolism or excretion. The problem with valium is that it has active and inactive metabolites that can also be detected.

There is nothing you can do.Don't take the vinegar, they will know you did something wrong.Besides,Valium is widely prescribed for anxiety. So what if your work knows you popped a Valium,it's not like you were doing lines of coke.
