When I was in eighth grade my mom made me wear straight pants to school once. Nobody else in my class EVER wore straight pants. I felt like such a dork. I was hiding behind stuff all day.

All of my clothes were taken in and hand me downs from my heavy weight older sister and I was a skinny skinny gal. But, God Bless my Mother -- she was just doing the best that she could do.

No, but I dreaded my mom doing my hair. She grew up in the 80s so she was into large hair...it was bad...

Yes! Those dreadful red socks that my mom bought on clearance at JCPenny's; they didn't match with anything I had!

When I was in elementary school, I was wearing plaid pants and corduroys when everybody else was wearing blue jeans.
I will wear neither unto this very day. I don't care if they're in style or not; I'm not wearing 'em, I tell you!

Oh yes! My grandmother made me this full, floral, cotton skirt that I just hated, but my mom made me wear it all the time. I was SO happy when I grew out of it!

A long-sleeved, high-necked, pink woolen dress. My mother bought it on sale and insisted that I wear it. it wasn't lined and made for a full day of itchy, wooly torture.
