I suggest you should wait for a few weeks or less. Everyday try to straighten your finger till it hurts and then stop. Reapeat this excersise everyday whenever you feel like it. If nothing has changed in about a week, see your doctor.

Absolutely, have it looked at by a doctor. If it's still hurting it's probably broken (or sprained) an may have to be placed in a splint. Don't keep typing with it, you might damage it more.

HELLO ALEX,
SOME OF THE ADVICE YOU'VE RECEIVED HAS BEEN GOOD, AND SOME FOOLISH.
IN THE FIRST PLACE HAVE IT LOOKED AT BY A PROFESSIONAL. IF IT'S A HAIRLINE FRACTURE IT WILL NEED A SPLINT.
IF IT'S A SPRAIN IT WILL NEED A BRACE.
AND, STOP TRYING TO TYPE WITH IT.

You shouldn't be using it right now. Rest it and make a splint or wrap it up if possible to keep it immobilized because If you can't straighten it it may be broken. And se a doctor when you can.

well i just got the cast off my broken thumb and it kind of de[ends where u broke it like mine wuz my right thumb i broke it in softball and it looked like a freaken pruple sausage and the color of my nail was first lavender then to black lol but if your nail starts to change colors most likely it will fall off ( like mine >_< ) but u should go to a doctor cause it probably broken or a fracture like a lightning bolt

If you cannot straighten it, its most likely out of joint and needs to be popped back into place. I'd have it looked at.

Yes definitely. If not broken, it might be fractured.
