I haven't changed any settings and it used to open the window immediately. What can I do to make the links open immediately again, and not have to wait a few seconds?

This is most likely an issue with your Internet provider - however, one thing that might help is clearing your temporary files. To do this, open Internet Explorer and go to the Tools menu. Choose Internet Options... Click the button that says Delete Files... and in the little popup window, check the box that says Delete all Offline Content and then OK. Note: If you do this, and haven't done so in a long time (or ever), give your computer a few seconds (sometimes minutes) to clear those files - don't click around and start getting impatient, you will only lock up Internet Explorer and have to start all over. But this is a step that should be done routinely to clear the crap off your computer that makes the Internet do funky things.

k make sure u haven't deleted ur java cas that will take longer if u did
if ur using internet explorer stop, use firefox its faster
maybe its a virus or hacker intercepting ur browsing, so scan for spyware and viruses
or u might have made ur computer slower by adding a program
or gosh its just ur internet, toooo slow, it will get back to normal if its the internet; just restart
