The Democrat party went from free speech, free expression, and equality to "free speech for us, free expression for us, special rights for special groups".

Now the line between democrat and socialist has been totally abolished.

Are you a socialist?

I'm a democrat. I am NOT a socialist. Senator Clinton does NOT share my values. I am a patriot. My country comes first. American values come first.

I was silent when socialists entered my party because they were good at speaking up. Then they turned the Republicans from opponents into "enemies". Then I left the party saying, "They left me." I returned, realizing what a weak and spineless decision I had made (and I wasn't a republican, period).

How many of you can even now admit that our party is going socialist, that there is no difference between it and the socialist party, and that you agree with them and those who silently stand with them (most of our leadership).

How many of you stand with our DEMOCRATIC principles, still?

some polisci major, are you daring to put things into perspective (shame on you!) or (forgive me for going a bit conspiracy here) trying to protect the socialists in the democrat party?
I'm having trouble telling the difference at present between a socialist and a liberal democrat, and I'm a DEMOCRAT!

clk4cb, keep supporting us, men and women, when you find us. Oh, I don't mean agree! We both have different ways of trying to help our country, like siblings who disagree on the shortest route home. But that will never change that we are patriots, together.

You know my fine friend I voted Dem for many years right up til the time Carter almost destroyed our economy and then I woke up and became a hard core capitalist, so of course I am diametrically opposed to socialism.

thank you for your refreshing perspective, this is how we pull a country together that the socialists want to divide.

I applaud you...I'm sure that was very hard to say...my parents were Democrats...the original kind...we didn't disagree all that much about politics and when we did we actually tried to understand each other...I don't like the way the parties are going after each other now...it's very UN-American...

I'd rather call them Communists !

You should do what I did in 1980, and leave that morally bankrupt Party, and join The Republican Party !

Hell No! I stand with the principals of a Republic. We are not a democracy. Does no one remember the Pledge of Allegiance?
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands....."
Need I say more?

Nothing makes me giggle more than when people think that actual Leftists would lower themselves by calling themselves Democrats.
