Glassyness my fav memory's of summer was when I went to be with my Grandma on the farm in south Alabama. she had chickens and cows and a mule and hogs and a big old pond and a garden. and it was glorious! They had a well.no running water.my grandma would cook on a wood burning stove. they didn't have a bathroom, you bathed on a wash tub and went to the bathroom in the canebrake. It was wonderful for a 12 year old. my grandma made the best vegetable soup you ever ate.

My fondest memories of childhood summer vacations were long stays at the Jersey shore. My parents would rent a small bungalow right on the beach for almost 2 months and there we would stay! My grandmom would come and do all the cooking. My dad and Uncles would go fishing and crabbing. When they would come home my mom and gram would make a big pot of Linquini with crab sauce etc. My cousins and their parents would come to visit for a few days throughout the summer. We would spend our entire day on the beach with coolers filled with meatball or pepper and egg sandwiches and homemade lemonade or ice tea to drink etc. In the evening we would go on the boardwalk and eat some more or go on the rides. We would also play the "wheels" at various booths to win prizes. Sometimes we would fall asleep in the screened porch all night. We would either go to Seaside, Wildwood, or Long Beach Island.
I really loved summers as a child! Can you tell?

Every summer was better than the last, but bringing my family to the conventions were where we all wanted to be. We never wanted to leave.

Oh particular, I bear in mind, and thank you for the two the reminder ('reason i've got not thought-approximately clotheslines in those form of years) and the great poem! We lived in Chicago and had this wee little exterior yet mom had her clothing line (and definitely one of our associates had theirs too--the different neighbor replaced right into a pair of elderly women who we did not see very very nearly something of ever), had to wipe it down 'reason it have been given grimy sitting out consistently (clothing pins have been taken interior for safekeeping). i might consistently bypass "walking" between the sheets because of the fact their dampness felt so superb and that they smelled so sturdy (till mom yelled, of direction). there replaced right into a kinfolk of approximately 12 little ones lived down the block and whilst we would bypass over to their place of residing, the completed place replaced into strung from the front door to the lower back and in each room, with clothing lines and there have been diapers drying consistently--that poor woman birthed a baby according to annum so a minimum of two-3 have been consistently in diapers. And if all of us do not start to apply image voltaic and wind power quickly, we would all be lower back to utilising clotheslines lower back (which i'm unlikely to love because of the fact I stay in an place of residing in a city the place there isn't solar consistently). Oh, yet I do love the scent of exterior dried washing.
