Is it ok for a 13 year old to shave?

Of course it is. Facial hair does not grow on every male by a certain age. So, if you have facial hair and want to shave, by all means do so. Use shaving cream and a good razor. I have always found Gillette razors to be the very best bar none!! Good luck.

Of course it's OK, though it's earlier than average.

Up to age 15 there are actually more girls shaving their facial hair than boys. Look at the girls in your grade and you'll probably find a few of them have upper lips that are totally bare of even the finest hair because they're shaving. Most girls your age will have a little bit of very fine hair on their upper lip, but quite a few have enough of a moustache to make them shave it off.

So what. If you have facial hair coming in, and don't want it to grow, you use a razor and cut it off. Millions and millions of guys do that daily, you've joined the crowd. I had to shave daily at your age, had a few classmates that also did, some did not shave until they were nearly 19
