Personally for doughnuts I prefer any local bakery but since this is more for the "chain" stores here is what I have to say....
For Dunkin Donuts vs Krispie Kreme it all depends on the type of doughnut you want....if its a cake doughnut, then Dunkin Donuts is the way to go....if you are looking for lighter (not necessarily lite calories) airy doughnuts, Krispy Kremes would be the way to go.
Incidentally both chains have decent coffee too though that edge for me goes to Duncan Donuts since I have not had too much coffee from KK..and there are no Tim Horton's here in Chicago so I don't know how they are.

Dunkin Donuts is such a normal donut and I'm usually forced to get Dunkin Donuts as I don't like tham a lot.
Krispe Kreme is AMAZING, the smell and the sugar on the original donut is just delicious. I can never resist a Kripy Kreme...Yumm.

Krispie Kreme has the best glazed, however, Dunkin Donut has a powdered filled with chocolate. Both are very tasty treats!

to answer your question about who has the best dooughtnut, the answer is none of the above. It is a place called Dandy Donuts in Durant Ok. people from all over the world have came there just to eat a donut and a lot of people drive over a 100 miles to come back for a donut. So is you are ever in Durant you should check it out.

It is a matter of taste. To me Krispie Kreme tastes the best, but the wholloping calories make me steer away from them...lol
