Has anyone heard the story of urine found in Olive Garden's food? A person went to an Olive Garden for dinner one night and 6 hours later, she ended up vomitting, and then going to the Emergency Room. The urine made her through up, and she ended up getting herpes.

That is awful. You never know what people will do nowadays. I limit myself to eating other peoples cooking for reasons like this.

I didn't hear of that story. Anyway, urine is sterile and would not likely cause a person to throw up or get herpes. Poor Olive Garden. I'll continue to eat there.

Apparently, the patrons were infected with a norovirus which occurs in places where food is prepared according to the CNN report source below. Symptoms included nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and, in some cases, fever - typical of a food poisoning. There is no mention of urine or herpes.

I have heard of this rumor at Appleby's and Texas roadhouse here in wyoming but not at an Olive Garden. There were investigations and it turned out to be a disgruntled employee whgo got fired from both places.

That sounds made up to me. I don't think urine that you didn't know you ingested would make you vomit and have to go to the ER.
