yes your ready!! its your choice! There are instructions inside the box when u buy them! try tampax pearl they are the best!! buy the multipack!! they are a tube of cotton that are inserted inside your body to stop the flow!! u use an applicator to insert them into you!! its easy!! especially if your on the swim team they are a must :)! good luck

Tampons are ok to use at any age...just make sure you never leave them in too long, its best to wear them during the day (change it every 4 hours) and use a pad at night when you go to sleep. Follow the directions on the box to insert one, however it may take a few time before you get them in without discomfort...the best advice i can give for that, is make sure you put them far enough inside you...if you dont get them in far enough, you will be able to feel it being there, and its kinda uncomfortable...if you feel that way after you insert one, take it out and try again. Good luck!

For fist time users, the brand Libra Fleur Tampon is excellent. I personally never used it until after the birth of my daughter who is also 13. She doesn't use tampon, she hasn't had her period yet. I think you should try using the slim size (the smallest) for a starter. I suggest to try it NOT when you're about to jump in the water with your swimming suit on, but rather when you're relaxed (after school or something) and see/feel it. It mgiht get uncomfortable at first, but you'll get used to it. Always change your tampon after you urinate. Oh and drink plenty of water, in case you get that annoying UTI.

Yes, Tampons are safe to use. I would ask a close friend, aunt or your sister, to help & show you how to use them safely. Otherwise ask your school or doctor's nurse. It can be quite tricky the first several times.
Be sure to talk it over it with mom first. :)
good luck

You can go to the store, for example Walmart, and get teen tampons. They are smaller. And in the boxes they come in there will be an insert explaining how to use them.

Well using tampons can be risky. They can cause you to have yeast infections and also toxic shock syndrome which can be very harmful and could possibly kill you! I would only use them when u are swimming...I would try to use them as least as possible! And also when you do use them change them very often!

You can wear tampons as long as you have your period.. theres no certain age. You should talk to your mom about them... the tampon box has instructions for you to use.

yes you can use tampons, start with the small ones"junior" in most brands, and don't put it in unless you are actively on your period. be sure to gently push it all the way in. if you can feel it or its uncomfortable you probably didn't push it in far enough. It takes some practice.

you can use them.
if you want to join the team it may be important.
there are instructions on the box.
it may be hard to get them in at first, so just practice. (only when on your period though!)
think of it as a rolled up pipe or tiolet paper with an aplicator.

I don't remember if it's Tampax or Playtex but one of them have them for young women like yourself they also have a booklet to go with them that is suppose to answer any questions you may have. You can go to twww.tampax.com and they answer a variety of question there. Hope this helped.
