I just had a baby 3 months ago so my cycles have not really regulated. I'm not sure when my next period would even be due and not sure when to test.

first you have to consider the length of your normal menstrual cycle. how many days do you normally bleed for and how many days before your cycle renews itself. also, this may have never happened to you before but sometimes your cycle may occur twice in a month because your pattern is changing. also, in some cases, some women will continue to have their normal cycles while pregnant and not know that they're pregnant. usually, i believe, 14 days after you stop bleeding is when ovulation occurs and a few days surrounding that day is when you're most fertile.
there are pregnancy tests you can buy that can find the pregnancy hormone in your urine before you even miss a period. I'm not sure which one. i recently started tracking my cycle and usually i wait until the week I'm gonna be on give or take a few days before and after. the best time of day is when u first wake up ; that's usually the most guaranteed reading.

Yes, you can get pregnant on your period, but it's not especially likely. Your most fertile days are mid-cycle.

Here is more input and advice:

It depends. If you're really heavy, the sperm can get washed back out. Moreover, it depends on when you ovulate. Every woman has a different cycle.

Unless you are charting your cycles and you know when you are ovulating then you can potentionaly get pregnant anytime. It's unlikely to get pregnant at that time, but it not a good idea at anytime to have unprotected sex.

It's actually highly unlikely, because of the hormones involved to bring on your period are not conducive to ovulation, of course there is always a possiblity, but it is VERY unlikely.

No, you can't become pregnant during your period because there isn't a egg in a position in which to be fertilised. There isn't a egg because the egg breaks up and causes a period. So it's unlikely to become pregnant during this time.

Absolutely, there's no safe time for a woman to have safe sex! Always keep that in mind!

Yes, especially if you have short cycles. You ovulate about 14 days before your next cycle starts. You are fertile a few days before that. So if you have cycles that are only, for example, 17 days long then you would be ovulating on the third day or so of your cycle -- which for most of us is still period time. If you think you are pregnant, take a test. You can take one anytime after the suspected initial point of conception. However, it may not show the true results until 14 days into it.

Yes, because sperm lives in the body for about 2-3 days. if you have sex for an example on the last day of your period and he ejaculated in you then the sperm would live for another day and thats bad because your period would be gone the next day. If you had sex in the middle of your period then you might not get pregnant. Some girls do some don't. Wait a week after your period and take a pregnancy test. Then wait another week and take another one just to be safe.

Yes! You can get pregnant if your partner ejaculates inside of you, if you are not using any form of birth control (a condom, the pill, the shot, spermacide). Sperm can last/live for several days inside of you and ovulation can occur within a few days of the last day of your period.

Yes, it happened to me & I felt pretty stupid about it; I told my boyfriend that he didn't have to withdraw because you can't get pregnant on your period. Needless to say, we had an unexpected surprise the following month. So yes, you can definitely get pregnant on your period.

Yes, if you have a very short first-phase of your cycle you could be already ovulating whilst the last of your period is draining away. Young women (say under 20) tend to have irregular cycles because the body is still "getting into the groove" of ovulating and menstruating. The irregularity is in the time between the first onset of bleeding and ovulation. From ovulation to bleeding is quite constant at 14 days, but the first part of cycle varies all over the place. I suggest http://www.woomb.org for more information on the menstrual cycle and fertility awareness.

Mine did the same thing only we used a condom and it broke. Chances are you're not pregnant, there is stuff in mens sperm that confuses our bodies and make it think that our period is over. Just from what I have read, although I don't really know for sure but that is what Ive read. Also, I do know that when you have your period your body is flushing out your system, all your eggs and stuff leave your body, for some. For others it may not happen, that is why they say it is slim for you to get pregnant while on your period.

It is possible to get pregnant at any time in ones cycle. This is one of the reasons for failure when using the rhythm method of family planning. The chances of getting pregnant during a period are increased when one has irregular cycles like you appear to have.
A pregnancy test performed by your doctor may be useful at this time. Otherwise, you may want to wait till about the expected time of your next period.

Highly unlikely as you would not have ovulated 6 days into your cycle and if you where still on your preriod your body did not have enough time to build the blood lining of the uterus to be thick enough for a fertilzed egg to implant. But as everyone said anything is possible though medically I think it's highly unlikely.

You can get pregnant any time any day any circumstance. It DOESN'T MATTER!!

And as for testing you should read the labels of the different tests to see how sson after missing your period you should test. Alot of them are different.

As for everything else. Use protection. Otherwise you will end up with a baby sooner or later. And if you aren't read for babies, don't have sex. Done deal.

congrats!! it is extremely intriguing! ppl ovulate in any respect differnet occasions. the complete "eleven-15 days after the primary day of your final interval" is only a guidline. you could have had a past due ovualtion or anything. natural indicators of ovulating is thicker discharge and a mild fever. thank your fortunate stars!! well good fortune together with your child! begin dinking plenty of water now, you are going to want it later.

Its possible. I would test when you expect your next period to come. If it doesnt then take a pregnancy test then.

You wont get pregnant when you're on your period, but if the sperm live long enough for the next time you ovulate you could get pregnant. It's very unlikely since if the right cervical mucus isn't present, the sperm would die within a few hours.

anytime you have sex, you cold possibly be pregnant. Even if it is during your period. If your really worried about it, call your doctor and set up an appointment and explain to him what happened and he can test you. good luck
