There is a new pill coming out in July that is supposed to eliminate your period- which is a very attractive option for me since my period causes me a lot of grief. I have menstrual migranes (which my mother/grandmother have had to deal with as well) it's irregular, extremely heavy, and I get intensely nautious the week before and during. The problem is, I am only 16, my parents are cautious/conservative about these things, and they might be worried that I'll use it so I can have worry-free sex (although they know I am not sexually active, nor am I planning on becoming active) Any advice on how to ask?

I would definitely always talk it over with your parents when taking any kind of medication. I would also hold off taking the bc pill & wait & see what all the side affects are & how it will affect women.
It's great when a new drug comes on the market & makes lots of guarantees of its effectiveness, & as we found out later with birth control pills, that it didn't protect women's hearts. Just be careful. :)

Well, first and foremost, I do agree that you should try and approach your parents. You should probably try approaching your mother first. As long as your intentions are what you say they are, then you will be able to defend yourself.
If your mother does say no, call your local health clinic to see if they offer the pill that you want. Check and see what their privacy policy is. In my state, a minor can get birth control on their own, and the clinics are not allowed to release information to the parents. It is also free until you are 18. I don't want to cause trust issues between you and your parents, but it is an option for many teenagers.

Just tell them your reason for wanting to go on the pill. Like you said, your mother experienced some of the same problems you do. So hopefully she'll understand. Being on birth control doesn't always mean you're having sex.

I think if your honest and just flat out tell them about how your period is difficult for you to handle they should be able to understand that. Make sure to tell them you're not doing this to become sexually active. Your mother should understand if she has the same problems as you. Just be honest and mature and im sure they will see that.....and they will be understanding

LISTEN, PLEASE! Don't use those pills. I had problems once with them. I bought them because I had problems with my period: pains and irregularities. I tried those pills and they made me menstrual for 28 days. I ended up in the hospital. I lost a lot of blood. The doctors said I could have damage my ovaries. Just use motrin when you get those pains. I also have really bad cramps. Use motrin ( it is a pain killer), up to two only monthly ( when you get it).

I would try talking to your mom sice she knows what you're going through since she had the same experience. Tell her to trust you in that you are wanting this only because of your period and not for sex. If she knows that you are not sexually active and are waiting until marriage, then hopefully she'll trust you. If she says no, though, you'll just have to wait until you're 18.

in case your mom says it is okay, then decide for it. Like somebody else reported, some men are in basic terms clueless. i replaced into on beginning administration for PCOS. It have been given to be too high priced, and optimistically PP can help me out as quickly as i'm ultimately able to circulate, even regardless of the undeniable fact that it helped me tremendously. Your dad is being unreasonable, for my area. Get your mom to take you to the wellness care professional or circulate to a loose hospital. Sounds to me such as you have PMDD, it is a extra extreme form of PMS. My pal makes use of Yaz for that, even regardless of the undeniable fact that your wellness care professional can prescribe the ideal form of bc for you. it is unlucky that it is even observed as "beginning administration" IMHO. it is used to alleviate a myriad of problems with regards to a girl's reproductive equipment, no longer in common terms combating being pregnant. it's going to be observed as hormone therapy. perhaps then there could be much less of a stigma for youthful females to circulate on it. solid success!!

You should be able to honestly approach your parents about it, given it's genuine purpose. Just tell them exactly what you typed here. They should be able to take your word for it.
