I can't touch my toes sitting down, standing up anything period. I want to be able to touch them and do the splits. But I don't know any easy really good streches to make this happen. I am not fat, and I want to do this to improve my running. Please any thing helpful would be liked.

Stretching & running are different strengths to obtain.
I would take a yoga class or get a video to do some slow stretches. Depending on your body condition: I would start walking a certain distance, say 1 mile & over time increase your distance & decrease your time.
Doing the splits can be your long term goal. :)

well if you wanna touch your toes you have to stretch your legs!..
stand up and stretch down regularly..
and sit down and try to touch your toes regularly..
you sould be able to after awhile..
im not sure if stretching will help do the splits?..
i dont know about that..
but just stretch your legs in any position that you feel will help you benefit..
just dont do nothing to crazy LOL... you might get hurt..
and remember to start out slow and then gradually increase it..
