Fainting
What is loss of consciousness?
Loss of consciousness is interruption of one's awareness of self and surroundings. When loss of consciousness is temporary and recovers spontaneously it is referred to as fainting or syncope.
Fainting (syncope) is the partial or complete loss of consciousness with interruption of awareness of oneself and ones surroundings. When the loss of consciousness is temporary and there is spontaneous recovery, it is referred to as syncope or, in non-medical terms, fainting. Syncope accounts for one in every 30 visits to an emergency room. It is pronounced sin-ko-pea.
Syncope is due to a temporary reduction in blood flow and therefore a shortage of oxygen to the brain. This leads to lightheadedness or a "black out" episode, a loss of consciousness. Temporary impairment of the blood supply to the brain can be caused by heart conditions and by conditions that do not directly involve the heart.

If you haven't lost conciousness, you have neither fainted or blacked out. The nausea is likely why you feel "weird". Try some chicken broth with crackers to help settle the nausea. A heating pad should help with the cramps and the soup will help your nausea and ease your pain some.

You are not going to faint unless you are dizzy & light headed. Cramping during periods is normal...so is being nausea....drink some nutmeg tea....it tastes terrible...but it will knock away those cramps....or drink peppermint tea....it will relax you & make you feel much better. If you were to black out everything goes black then you are out for a period of time. If that starts to happen during your period you should go see a doctor.
