The top 15 percent, who own 85 percent of the US wealth are rich. Those are the same people whose tax rates were lowered and who receive corporate welfare.

Yea, I live in a pretty rich neighborhood also in NJ. Everyone lives in 1.5- ++ million dollar homes and we all have 2-3 nice cars (BMW, Mercedes, Audi). We all think like we are Middle Class and that we're going to be poor when we **** in school. (so screwed up mind). I'm thankful for what my parents have. I would consider my self upper-middle class since my dad isn't working anymore but still has a net-worth of 10-15 million. If you really want to be "Rich", you should have around 30 million or more. Those types of people live in 3 - 10 million dollar homes and have Bentleys and top line cars. Some even have private jets. I have a kid in school whose family has around 800 million dollar (they hit the bottom of the 400 forbes). They are stinking rich (servants, drivers, jets, 20 million dollar home). It just depends on person's surrounding. People get more greedy when they are up higher. Generally anything above 10 million will be considered rich anywhere in the world.

Hmmmm...
I live in a tiny apartment (600 sq feet) and make less a year than my governement considers the poverty line.
However, I have a roof over my head, clean running water, plenty of food, electricity, a computer, and music and news at my fingertips.
Most importantly wonderful friends, loving parents, and a clutch of sisters who love me, add to all of this the love of the One who created this universe, and I guess you could say I am richer than 90% of the world.
I guess rich or poor by anyone’s standards it is most true that:
The richest man on earth is the one who is content with what he has. And the poorest: the one who dies clutching at the bill.
Funny story, not a true story, but funny anyway;
A rich man and good Christian, rare indeed, begged God that he might be allowed to bring his riches into heaven with him.
As God patiently explained: You can't take it with you...
But he begged and begged and seeing as how this man was so very faithful and generous and kind and unique, God made a little exception and said.
"All right you may bring one suitcase with you."
Well that man went out and found the LARGEST suitcase he could find and spent the last two years of his life putting things in and changing his mind and replacing them. Finally on the day of his death he decided and filled the suitcase to overflowing with 24 carat gold bricks, stacked and packed in tight.
Well up he went to heaven and all his relatives crowded around him and curious they poked and prodded at the large suitcase.
Pleased and proud of his special privilege he opened the suitcase with a flourish..."ta da" he said stepping back to allow the crowd to see the treasure inside.
"Oh look!" one of his nephews shouted...
He's brought pavement!

Rich to me is never having to work another day in your life. Until then, we are all broke, just at different levels.

To a Democrat = a job so you can pay more taxes
To a Republican - no one is ever truly rich but we're all trying to get there.

Don't bother, I've asked the left to define this for me and they never do. It's like obscenity; they can't define it but they know it when they see it. Yeah, that makes sense. It is obscene to tax "the rich" who don't even know what game they are playing.
