Have you ever had people say "thanks", but you can tell by the tone of their voice, that they were simply saying it just to say it and not because they meant it?
Of course gratitude matters.
Or it should anyway.
It should carry some weight; it should have some meaning.
Or else it becomes a reflex action, like saying "bless you" when somebody sneezes.

yes but i don't think that people show it enouph, I know that i make it a point to say thank you as much as possible you never know, if you don't say it today then you may not get a chance to say it tomorrow.
