I recommend a UV Reptile light for the snakes health. Here is a link for a care sheet.

There's no need for a special light source for your corn snake. Just make sure that your tank has proper heating and humidity levels. One end of the tank should be around 30-35 degrees C and the other, around 20-25. I had a heat pad on at all times (tape it under and never in the tank -- snakes may lie directly on heat pad and get burned) and a heat lamp on top of the screen for extra warmth during the winter. Put the heat lamp on a timer so it's only on during the day.

Good luck!

You do not need any particular kind of light for a corn snake. You need to provide a heat source and that is usually done with either a light, or a reptile heat pad. Any incandescent bulb that heats one end of the tank to about 85 F is fine. Corn snakes do not require exposure to ultraviolet light.

My brother had a brilliant number of cornsnakes and diverse lizards and corn snakes dont want a uv gentle simply by fact they consume rats and rats provide them the nurtition that a uv gentle provides lizards so y brother mentioned you basically want a 100w warmth gentle (may well be bought out of your community reptile save) and you ought to get a thermastat and this lowers and highers the warmth of the gentle on your snakes temperature :) i wish i helped AmyRose x
