You could buy or make a bat house, it might not be the cheapest solution, but it will definitely get the mosquito population down. I found directions on the site below (making it yourself may be cheaper). Instead of roughing up the landing area though you could just attach some mesh, my grandpa makes and sells bat houses and he does this instead of roughing it up. Also, I believe it may have you stain the bat house on the outside, however this isn't necessary. My grandpa never stains them, he just leaves the outside natural and stencils a black bat on the front, just adds a little extra to it), his work really well and people love them. Well I hope I've helped you.

I have the Off yard coils - kind of like incense, but keeps bugs away. But those only work, really, when you're sitting with them.
The only thing that I know that works is those mosquito vacs that are propane (but they're all about $300)...I linked a site with those, but also has some cheaper ideas at the bottom!

keep grass cut & weed
make sure there is NO standing water, not even in empty planters or wheelbarrows
it's best NOT to have ground cover right up against your house - put river rock or pea gravel, then slope away from your house before having any vegetation
if your ground cover is in the shade and retains much moisure, spreads some peat moss around, that will dry up the extra moisture

In my yard we have a mosquito zapper where it's this thing that looks like a big lantern and it attracts mosquitoes, and then traps them. We got it at Home Depot

Well, draining the standing water will help.
This will take a while, but might be worth a try, plant catnip. Mosquitoes hate the stuff.
Of course, then you'll be asking how to get rid of cats....

Get a white bowl and put dawn dishwashing liquid and water in it. For some reason the mosquitos get in it and die? It works.

I feel sorry for you. A couple years ago, I was in the same situation. Bug zapper gave the only relief.

can you get like eucalyptus scented air fresheners or something? I know that mosquitoes don't like eucalyptus. or like what the first responder said, buy a bug zapper.
