If a couple get a divorce and the mother have their child, is it her choice to file for child support? Or the court will automaticly put the guy on child support? Colorado state if it makes a diff.

If the woman collects any sort of state aid (food stamps) the state will go for child support. Some states will automatically file for support when the divorce is filed.

The court normally puts child support on in teh divorce decree.

You have to request child support in MOST states, sorry, I don't know specifically about Colorado.
