I have a TI-30X IIS Calculator.

How can I convert the following decimals into fractions?

0.39, 0.123 and 5.69.

Without a calculator:-
0.39 = 39 / 100
0.123 = 123 / 1000
5.69 = 5 (69/100)

You wouldn't need the calculator for that, if you multiply the decimal by 100 and put it into a fraction over 100 that would work. Ex.: 0.39 would be 39/100 , for 0.123 you would put it over 1000 so 123/1000, then reduce.

Forget the stupid calculator.

multiply .39 by 10/10
3.9/10, right?
do it again
39/100
Any more decimal places to worry about? If not stop.
0.39. two decimal places

If the final fraction reduces, then feel free to do so.

The other two are done exactly the same way.

Under the math button, there is >Frac
Or that's for ti-84

If there's a catalog, use it
If there's a manual, use it
