Do you have satelight or cable?

We have Directv and it's cool. Got DVR's and they are awesome.

I don't have a perference because I like Directv and Charter which is cable but I was wondering what everyone else on here had.

I've got cable. I get up to six megabits on my internet connection and I've got seven sets hooked up in the house. The satellite people want to dump two dishes on my roof to do the same job and the best they can do on the internet (through a third party provider no less) is 1.5 Megabits. It would be nice to get the international programing, as well as the east and west coast feed, but despite all the ads and claims, they just haven't caught up yet. I've got two words for them that they need to learn if they want to be competitive.

1. Multiplex

2. True Broadband Cable
(My cellphone is faster than your DSL connection!)

Also, somewhere between 2008 and 2010, we are supposed to get sun-flares. They are supposed to knock out about a third of the satellites we got floating around up there now. The Satellite and cellphone companies are supposed to put up solar powered, remote control platforms over the major cities, but nobody can tell me if El Paso and the surrounding area qualify as a major city! Until I get an answer, I think I'll stick with the fiber optics. They may not be as fancy as the dish, but they get the job done for now.

I think I'm the only person in LA who doesn't have satellite OR cable. There's too much stuff going on (sports, work, movies in theatres, museums) to need to pay for TV!
