Being a former chef in Canada it hard for me to find a good meal, when I lived in Edmonton AB Canada, I went to a place called the "New York Steakhouse", I ordered escargot, a chopped sirloin and baked potato.
The escargots were made with margarine and had not garlic, they must have put in all in the chopped sirloin along witha box of salt, the baked potato was not cooked and broccoli was frozen and had a glop of white paste on it, when I made a complaint the manager siad since I ate some of it there was nothing he could do, I paid for it and never went back, they are not no longer in business, but I have not lived in Edmonton since 1984.

I've probably forgotten a few but I've ate at a fast food resterant where the smoke from the grill was coming into the dining area and overpowering everything...
Another was a small grocery store with the dining establishment... They apparently used the products from the store... some of the stuff in the store was expired by about a year or two...

The Olive Garden. It's like an Italian Taco Bell that for whatever reason, they won't add a drive thru and people will actually wait for a table to sit shoulder to shoulder and pay lots of money and waste time for bread sticks and salad. Plus low level wine that they walk around with until it gets to the worst temperature and sell it to you. The rest of the menu , fo get a bow dit.

Blue Balls (Restaurant & Whore House), Sin City, RVN 1969.
Dusty unpainted concrete-block wide open to street having no
tables, about five chairs occupied by men too drunk to stand
upright, with bistro serving beer and shot glass spirits. Drugs
were proffered by children age nine or older who would steal
anything not safeguarded. Unwashed women between tricks served a dirty rice ball garnished with hot peppers and curry in bowl one are with fingers. Other rice bowls had curry with salty dog meat, steamed white rice with an oyster flavored sauce, and hot Thai peanut oil. No air conditioning and cool only in heavy rain. I was there for Philippine brews and black
market conversation but had illicit .38 S&W under my tropical BDU tunic as the street had infrequently heard one or more
frantic screams. I hated it most when the Blue Balls cook dragged inside past the paying customers a dog to butcher.

The Steak Loft, Mystic, Connecticut, USA
So many people rave about this place, my husband and I thought it was tastless and disgusting.. not to mention highly overpriced. We will never go back again, not even if it was a free meal.
