I feel no need to hurt myself. Never. just depressed. love all your suggestions. some made me laugh so hard I have to question the label "depression". nevertheless I will call it that for now.

I'm not usually, except for 7 years ago when I got hurt by a girl plus a former friend. I think of this now more as my stupidity - falling for someone I wasn't even really dating, just came close to. I used to go to the top of this big hill and statue thing in the public gardens and be alone and think.
I would also go for walks around the farms...that helps. Is nice on a sunny day.
I would never take anti-depressants. I can sort any problem myself, just not always that easily. It's about asking yourself what the problem is and reframing the situation so it doesn't feel as bad. Like, she'll end up being a single mother...due to the games she played - and she is. Or what I did as well, was imagine her face and really make all her features ugly. Highlight all the bits I dislike (neglible really) and make them bigger etc. That helps.
I'm a lot stronger now. And they can... :)

First, get help. Go see your doctor. If you are too depressed to do this, ask someone to take you to your doctor. Tell everyone you feel comfortable telling that you are truly depressed and asked for their help. Exercise is also an excellent anti-depressant. If you are already on anti-depressants, be sure to follow your prescription. If they're not working, tell your doctor.

Go running. Ride horse. Listen to music that makes me happy. Anything to get out of the house and away from what is making me depressed.

Eat. But that made me gain weight. I fought back and lost it all.
My next tendency is shopping. But that put me in too much debt. So now I ask myself before buying: Do I want it or need it?
Now, I clean and organize. It's a win, win!

Exercise, even if I don't feel like it. It releases feel good endorphins and gets you off your butt. Sitting around doing nothing because you don't feel like it makes it much worse.
