Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
Every quad is different.
Some quads are fully automatic with no adjustment.
Some are semi-automatic (automatic clutch, but still have to shift gears) and have an adjuster screw on the engine.
Then you have the conventional quads with a manual clutch (clutch lever on the handle bars). They're adjusted by the free play in the cable.
If I knew what quad you had, I could explain the procedure (if there is one).

It Depends upon the make and model... Invest $35 in a "Service Manual" you will save that on the first repair you make. Adjusting the clutch as a basic adjustment one routinely performs about as often as you reline the brakes.

Most of them are hydraulic and can't be adjusted, just replaced when they wear out.
