I am british, but i seriously love my country, but it gets the words racist, and arrogant and ignorant etc through at it.
i have always been proud, but i know i am neither racist nor arrogant nor ignorant.
i seriously would love to know how people can base a whole country as being this way, because of a few terrible experiances.
i mean if that was the case, nobody would go anywhere, would they?
so back to the question, do you ever hate the country you live in because of reputation? that it has been labeled by people?
or do you feel, still very proud, and know that you are either a person who is being labled correctly, or someone who knows they are not like that.

I agree with you. I don't understand why people judge us to all be the same instead of getting know us individually as everyone is different.
I don't understand either why some people deliberately insult the English as being racist, arrogant, ignorant etc, when them saying every English person are these things, is racist, arrogant, ignorant etc. It's being hypocritical and doesn't make sense.
I think a lot of the time they are just trying to spread hate and want a rise out of people.
I do feel proud to be English. Every English person is different just like any other nationality.

I am so proud to be English. I accept that some of the things people say about the country are true, but I also look at the good things of the country, and the good people that live here. I'll never hate my country because of it's reputation....people thinking bad of it just makes me want to be a better person and prove them wrong!

I guess as Americans we are such individualists, we really do not care about the insults. The truth is we are a mostly (obviously not completely but a large percentage) Christian nation. We really want to love our neighbours, but we are very eager to stand against injustice. Wouldnt it be nice to throw out the labels we have for one another and just get along (smashingly??)

Lets face it, Liverpool fans aren't exactly our best ambassadors...
I love Britain and England, and I don't really care if we're quite hated in parts of Europe (and Scotland) and if they say nasty things about us, because I live here and I like it here, and what someone living in another country thinks doesn't bother me that much.

I'm an American. People are always saying negative things about America. It's my home. I love it. It's awesome. I've been to Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Spain, Italy, France, Puerto Rico, Guam, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Alaska. America is the best.

i hate my country (us). anywhere you have majority white people, you'll have racism. deny it all you want but it's true. they are taught ignorance at a verrrry young age and it never goes away.

I know that I`m not rascist but there are rascist people every where,it will never change,and we are very civilised in world terms(England).
