I just got 2 gold fish. My friend got married and the center piece on the table was a fish bowl! I dont have fish food yet. What can i feed them that is safe for the gold fish?

Thanks for all your answers! Have a great weekend!

Do not feed anything but goldfish food, especially if it is in a bowl - they will be fine until you get it. They even sell it at Walmart and you should have no problems finding it soon. You will probably want to move him from a bowl to a tank with a filter though. If you keep him in the bowl you will need to do a 25% water change every day. Make sure you are declorinating the water with a water conditioner before adding it.

First of all goldfish will not live long in a bowl at all. They need good water quality, a filter, weekly water changes, enough space, etc. For food they should be fine for today, but if you really want to feed them you can use peas with the skin taken off. This is not harmful to fish it is actually really good for them.

They will be OK with out food for today. Just go get some tomorrow if you can't at least get some by Monday. Fish can live few days with out food. Be sure to buy goldfish food it has the nutrition that gold fish need. Also if your really what them to live i would buy a bigger tank. Bigger the better.

Two gold fish in a bowl. Don't bother getting food. They will die in 2-3 days, seriously.
If you want to keep them, plan on getting at least a 20 gallon (or better yet a 29 gallon) aquarium with proper filtration.
Otherwise they are going to die.

tHEY WILL BE OK JUST GET FOOD BY TOMORROW.
YOU COULD GIVE TEHM SOME BREAD CRUMBS BUT THAT MAKE THE WATER VERY DIRTY AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED AND ISN'T REALLY THE HEALTHIEST.
