The seat must flip up - from one side or the back/front. But i gues syou know that. i think a bike i had in thailand - you actually continued to turn the ignition key backwards - while not seated on bike and it caused latch to open.

That model wasn't available in the US, so I can only tell you what Honda usually does.
Look all around the colored plastic below the seat. There's usually a lock, sometimes underneath it in the rear.
They've put the seat release inside of the glove box.
I noticed on a picture that I just looked at, there is a small cover on the right, down by the rear of the floor boards (it's probably for the battery, carb adjust, spark plug, coolant check).
Look around the edge of the seat for a seat latch.
