yes it is, you would just need to learn a programming language which if you're dedicated can be really simple. also try out different programs out there, such as torque game builder or perhaps RPG maker or FPS creator. Then there are actual learning places such as the National Urban league, they let you go through ProjectFUN's course rand by digipen, the school for game design and jazz. those are a few things, but if you want feel free to IM me for more information because I'm in the process of making a game to be taken to a conference sometime next month. hope this helps

yes i have made several well scoring games on for newgrounds.com using Macromedia Flash 8 and im 15. it really depends on what u want to do, how much time u want to spend to learn how to do it, and what media u are using to create it. flash can be very complex or very easy while other things like 3d graphics and "real" coding for "real" games will probably take you a long time to learn.

Starting from scratch you probably wont have anything even resembling a game made this year unless its rather short and lame but within a year or more you could have some idea as to how to make one. o and btw flash and others costs a ton unless ur a haxr (which i dont condone at all..)

Mercury gives a good answer. If you want to learn the programming skills to create a game equivalent to a professional 3D PC game or Playstation game, that will take years to learn. And even then it would be hard to accomplish by yourself, because most professional games are created by large TEAMS of programmers.

If you just want to create some simple games for fun, there's variety of commercial and freeware software available to help nonprogrammers create games. Here's one list of resources:

Hope that helps. Have fun.
