Jim Basille has renewed his lease option on Copps but some people say the building won't be ready for the Predators for at least a year or two. I know the scoreboard is the from the Winnipeg Arena, but other than that what does the building need? Is it short of luxury boxes or something? Shouldn't 19000 seats be plenty?

It needs some major modifications. First there is only 1 level for all the fans to filter onto at intermission. It takes 10 minutes just to get to a bathroom and there were only 14,000 at the Bulldog game. It needs a new soundsystem. You could hardly hear any announcements during the game.
The scoreboard is great. There would need to be luxury boxes. Luckily for all involved Copps was built with the idea of getting bigger and better. There is lots of room inside that rink for expansion.

Not up to NHL standards without a retrofit supposedly, I think that means luxury boxes and proper broadcast facilities, it's big enough capacity wise.

They just need a team, although I believe the Bulldogs are good enough to finish ahead of the Leafs.
