Currently I have a number of them. First of all, my stepson (14 y/o) committed a serious crime and I fear that he may be put away. I know a lot of people would say that I shouldn't feel sorry for him and he needs to put sent to a juvenile detention center, but there is whole other reason why I fear of it. And my mother just got into a horrific car accident and is clinging on to her life. The doctors won't give me an adequate answer and nor can i force them to. I don't what it would take to overcome those fears. The only way i have been taught to solve a problem is to face it, but sometimes i feel that an attempt to solve it can only make it worse. The only joy is that it is rational and one day it will pass.

I am afraid of driving in cities - I am fine on an open road but I just refuse to drive where there is heaps of traffic going every which way, traffic lights, I don't know where to go or where to park......If I try to force myself to drive to these places I get so anxious and stressed, shaking, hyperventilating, sweats, racing heart, etc..... It is a totally irrational fear and it really frustrates me. To overcome it I need to chage my self-talk to stop awfulising the task and do it in small steps at a time with someone with me who knows their way around for help and support.

I am afraid of tornados. I lived through some and seen them tear up whole towns. Just scary.

The good news is tornados form seasonally and the best way to deal with this fear is stay the hell away from them.

I'm afraid of the dark... I'd prolly have to spend many days in complete darkness... I think that its just my mind telling me that there are things in the darkness that I cannot see... Its just like when I'm in bed and cant fall asleep, I tend to believe that there are creatures running around and they might stab me when I'm sleeping on my back... It's quite scary... for me anyways :(

i don't really have any fears. sure, there are things i can do without but not to the point that they would be considered fears.
