nintendo events?

i keep hearing that you need to go to nintendo events in pokemon pearl and diamond to get certain items like the azure flute and oak's letter but how can you find out when the events are and how do you go to them? please help.

for your first question: keep checking pokemon.com or nintendo website. Sign up for their mailing list and you will be notified when something is going on and what you have to do to speed up the process.
How to go to them: not trying to sound bad or insulting, just go to the location by any means necessary.
