Why do you want to be emancipated?? Are they abusing you in any sort of way? If thats the case then report them to the CPS. Otherwise, I'm sure you're just over reacting. You're 14 from what I hear..many things at that age seem like a much bigger deal than it really is.

Joanna, certainly you understand we can't be precise with an answer if you don't tell us WHICH state you are in.

Joanna, no need to get upset with any of us. If you want an answer, believe me we need to know the state because it has to do with the solution. EVERY state has different rules regarding emancipation and not every state even allows that procedure.

The only state to allow a 15 year to be emancipated is Ca and thats pretty much for child stars and athletes. go to the website below for more help and ask your questions there

What do you think you would do if you got emancipated?? How will you live? Do you have ANY idea how hard that would be?? Things cant be that bad. You have a computer(or at least access to one on a reg. basis, a mp3 player, a digital camera. etc.Sounds like you got it pretty good. I know you are in a hurry to do whatever you want to, and be grown up. But right now the smartest thing would be to let your parents show you HOW to grow up.
ps- How does a person know that they have grown up? When they stop trying to hurry it up. Good Luck.
