I'd especially like to hear from you married ladies. I have a wonderful wife, and I want to find a creative, thoughtful way to say I love you and I appreciate all you do for me and the kids. The problem is my job takes me away from home a lot (for example, I'll be away from home 2 months out of 12 this year). I'm going to miss our anniversary again this year. The separations have gotten fewer and farther between, and the situation will continue to improve as I move up in my career. But for now, there are still separations. I also don't have a lot of money to spend right now. So I can't afford jewelry or cruises or the like. Any ideas?

Since you are going to be gone. Hide little inexpensive gifts and notes around the house and car for her to find. While you are away on business you can ask if she has found anything and if not give her a some hints to get her started.
Example: slip a new pair of sexy panties in her sock and panty drawer with a note that says "I can't wait to see these on you when I get home. I love how sexy you always are."
a new pair of earrings in her jewelry box (they don't have to be expensive) and a note that says something like "Nothing sparkles like the light in your eyes, but I hope you will like these anyway. I miss you!" and so on and so forth. You get the idea.
Hope that helps and good for you for being a husband that cares.

Hi Jordan, here is what you do...the next time that you have to leave that is the closest date to your anniversary write her a love letter the night before you depart. Be very sincere and tell her exactly how much you love her. Tell her about your dreams for the two of you (and the kids) once your career is where you want it to be. Mist the letter with your cologne (her favorite), don't hold the letter too close to the spray or it will distort the writing. Place the letter under her pillow or in the bathroom on the mirror so that she will find it after you have gone. While your away, romance her over the phone and via email every chance you get. Send her sexy text messages from time to time. The week of your return arrange a baby sitter for the kids and spend the evening adoring your wife like you did before you got married. Yeah, you remember what she likes...Buy her a vase with three roses(walmart) to signify the past, present and your future together. Tell her what they mean and get your grove on all over the house while the kids are away. Enjoy!!!!

lots of stuff you can do. give her a foot or back rub just because. make her dinner. cozy up on the couch and watch her favorite movie. order a pizza and eat by candle light. take a long walk and talk about your life together or your future plans. wrap her in your arms and tell her how much you love her. simple things say a lot. i'd much rather have those then any jewelry. good luck. you're a good guy.

Buy a simple card. Run a nice bath, get some massage oil (Karma sutra oil that heats up on contact and is also edible) and give her a massage. You can fill in the blanks after the massage, but nothing says to a woman that you appreciate her more when you appreciate her body. Good luck with whatever you choose!

My husband and I each have our own computers. We leave little love notes for each other several times a day. I never get tired of signing into Yahoo messenger and hearing that he loves me. This works for me.

Bake her a cake. Nothing says i love you like a chocolate cake you baked yourself and put your time into. hope this helps. :)
