This time she was complaining when she was refused permission to put up pictures of Madeleine at Lisbon airport.

Here is the story.

http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272613951.shtml

Seems to me that while the Portugese Police could have handled it in a more sensitive manner, it wouldnt suprise me at all with the number of complaints Philomena McCann has already made about the Portugese that this is yet another 'incident' that was blown out of proportion due to her.

Still gets her publicity hey?

"They just don’t want to admit a child was snatched in their country,” she said. Madeleine's mother, Kate McCann, had asked them to put up the posters. The country’s tourist board also refused posters of Madeleine."

Since when does every element of Portugese society have to bow to the McCanns demands? Perhaps if the parents had a trace of humanity and looked after Madeleine in the first place they wouldnt have to blame everyone else.

The whole thing is sick, over 550 meaningless questions from life's failures about a tragic family who may have lost a child to a paedophile

The same people are asking the questions

This argument has been exhausted and the same questions keep going round and round and nothing you have asked hasn't been asked numerous times before. NO BODY, so NO MURDER NO evidence or they would be guilty and behind bars thankfully we don't rely on hunches to put people away and accuse them of murder just because they seem like they have a secret. When and if the evidence comes to light to prove that she was murdered and it was by the parents (yeah right) THEN hang and quarter them and throw away the key. I don't think the MCcanns are capable of fooling all the police and investigators that have tried to solve this case, and even though there has been a lot in the press there will be other things that cannot be released by the police for confidentiality reasons. Not all the evidence and investigation results are made public.

the police in portugal have a very different way of doing things and yes we all feel they may not have done things the way we would or as fast as we would but that is their law and when we are over seas in another country we have to obey them just as they would have to if they were here,
as for the posters etc phil mccann can give out all she wants at the end of the day they dont have to put them up if they dont want there is nothing she can do.
laws differ everywhere shame they didnt think of that when they left the kids, and i didnt see any footage of phil gerry or kate looking for maddy, i did see people from portugal and the police and other holiday people looking.

I can understand why they want to put posters up, but deep down I don't think its always right.

If every person in the world put up a poster for their missing child, missing pet, if everyone tied a bouquet of flowers to every lampost near where someone died, or put some form of shrine there the world would inundated with them.

I doubt you would be allowed to put up posters in a UK airport either.

Also to #1 DALEK. You refer to the fact a child is missing. There is more emotion and empathy voiced directly to Madeleine on here than you get from anyone in the McCann family.

I know full well that none of us would ever be so stupid and selfish as to leave three vulnerable children alone at night, in a ground floor room, with unlocked doors.

I also think, though, that if for any reason any of us ever did - G-d forbid - lose a child, we would probably go to any lengths to raise awareness, and would be as single minded as the McCanns in their efforts to do so.

I guess what I'm saying is: I think they should be up on negligence charges BUT I think it's great that they're trying so desperately to keep their daughter's story in the spotlight.

Well i guess with anything the more we hear about it the more we get sick of it. I don't know if it is a con or real, but I do see the fact that the family is squeezing everything out that they can. I don't know why they thought that they can go to a international air port and just put up posters.
I also think that there aren't many people left in Europe that don't know about this story.

Regarding the aunt saying she was bodily manhandled...I think its quite normal in many parts of Europe for the police to have more powers and can use a bit of force to move people on.

Does she realise that a child was snatched in their country because her British parents left her alone? Heard it all now.

Plitdown man, how do you justify your comments? Prove that I am one of life's failures. As someone who has actually suffered huge tragedy in my own life, and come through it the other end a total success, I find your remarks insulting and totally unjustified. Tell me why you think it is so bad to think that child neglect is morally wrong?

I suppose we can all be wise after the event - BUT I must agree with you two supposed professional intelligent people DO NOT LEAVE children of that age on their own, however close by they are, enjoying themselves!!! Maybe this is the reason for their enormous guilt and therefore inability to accept what has happened. They seem to be in denial about the fact that the poor child is no longer alive...................unless of course they know different.

Ok well this is a one sided story... Maybe she made a scene and thats why they escorted her out but to use the word manhandle? Could be true yes...but where are the cops side of the story? Secondly, umm arnt all police officers armed? I wouldnt want to be in that airport if a psycho with a gun came in with unarmed police officers on duty. Maybe the portugal police are sick of this story and maybe they suspect the parents? I guess I dont get why they wouldnt allow them to hang posters. last but not least.....Dave S. I trust very few people with my children and you know what if you lived in my town and I got to know you a bit face to face I think you are the type of guy that I would trust with my childrens best interest and would ensure their saftey. I don't necessarily agree with all your views on stuff like maybe politcal matters or such but if you are a parent then I think your kids are well looked after. Just wanted you to know that because you do get alot of crap from people which I am sure you really could care less about but just wanted you to know that. Thanks for the story I just wish I could hear the other side to it.

Piltdown man...go complain about the Paris posts.. I am more sick of seeing her name on every other question and no I do not read them at all I just scroll by. Who the heck is she but a rich snob. I value Madeleines life much more then Paris Hiltons so spend some time on her now please. Thank You.

It has knocked her down a peg or two. I just don't know who the hell the McCanns really think they are. I have also heard that they may be going to Morocco, we will have to wait and see.
*Mom blessed x 5* She deserves a big round of applause for her sentimental words, especially when she 'said' I would trust Dave s with my child in his care. Blesssssss.
