Sweetie, I will tell you that the emotional pain will take you down quicker than the physical pain. I have lived both. The physical pain heals. The emotional pain never goes away. If you find yourself a victim, and you can, GET OUT!!!

Probably emotional pain - and that is probably because I have a lot more experience of physical pain than I do of emotional pain. Good question!

Emotional. I have had to have many operations in my life but I always knew that I would get better. It may take time but I knew I would heal and recover.

I have also had some really bad emotional pain and that just never goes away. The best you can hope for is to learn to live and function with it. It takes longer to recover from and some days you may feel like your doing better and then you get up the next day and all the pain comes rushing back at you again.

Emotional. The physical ones heal and scar, but the emotional ones allow you to grow and transcend. To the same extent that you permit yourself to be vulnerable to emotional pain and rejection is the degree that you can also experience love. The more you risk - the greater the opportunity.<<>>

Dear Lady Linda,
Emotional pains stays forever and physical pain will heal. I just answered a question saying I would rather get punched in the face 50 times than to have heard that my 3 year old son had died. That pain will be remembered forever.

I'm fortunate to have a somewhat high tolerance for physical pain, but even if that weren't so, I think that I would still say that emotional pain is the harder of the two to deal with. Personal growth and awareness often stem from emotional pain, but it's a tough way to gain the experience.

These pains are so very different. There is absolutely no comparison. I have suffered greatly with both kinds of pain & I am grateful to God that he was with me through it all and on this day, I can say the Emotional pain was by far the worst.
I was at deaths door with the Physical, but I had no fear.~jill
