Are you asking how does a couple get a divorce after spending a lifetime together? About all that you can do is deal with it and get on with your life. Alot of couples get married, have children and then after the kids are grown and gone there isn't really much of anything to stay married for. I know because I went through that. I was married for 25 years and had 3 grown children. My middle son was married and had his own family. My youngest daughter had moved out and the only one who stayed with me was my oldest son. I had to get divorced because I was just fed up with my ex and all the mental abuse that I went through. My divorce was an answer to my prayers. I sure am sorry about your divorce especially if you don't want one. Things do and will get better eventually.

make sure you have a good support system around you, because you will be relying on them for support often.
If you need an attorney then ask friends for references. Otherwise each state has 'do it yourself' divorce and you both fill out all paper work and then the courts will grant the divorce.
remember, you get one life - don't waste it on being unhappy.

Go to court. Sign a paper. And there you go, you're divorced.
