There are several different kinds of divorce. A Summary Dissolution, A Dissolution, An Anullment and a Joint dissolution. A Summary: if you've been married for under 5 yrs. have no children and/property. Annulment: depending on your state is 30days to 6 wks. A joint is: where the property is settled and both are in agreance. A Disso. is the entire carton of eggs. Check with your court clerk for the proper documents

A divorce is recognized by the law as the termination of a marriage. An annulment is recognized only by the church as the dissolution of a marriage, as if it never occurred.

annuled basically means it never actually happend...it gets taken off the records...there are very specific provisions that have to be met in order to be able to apply for an annulment over a divorce.
