depending on what the fine is per day at the library it could be anywhere (as far as I have heard around) from 5 cents to one dollar. usually it is 5 or 10 cents though.

In the library where I work, that would cost you 25 pence. Or 50 pence for a book issued on short loan, or £1 for audio-visual material.

I just called my library. For an adult book the fee is 25 cents per day. I didn't ask about children's books.
