I have a solution, but it may sound odd.

Mr Clean makes a water filter meant to make your water so clean that it does not leave spots on your car; that way you don't have to towel it off. If you used one of these, it may very well filter out the iron or sulphur sediment you have. The filter would probably not last long, but if you just wanted a couple of pools full, that might be an easy way to do it.

But the really good fix is a full-home filter, which can be expensive. But it would be better for your health. You'd need to get a few estimates from plumbers.

I guess you are in an area with a lot of sulpher in your water. I lived in Fla. and had a problem with the water turning my white clothes brown or yellow. I needed a filtration system.

Put a filter 'tween the well-head and the house !! Or well-head and your hose !!

No chemicals are going to work...
