They look really foolish, but I'm not into fashion. I wonder if most people who have them (except for people whos culture it is) realize what they look like.

i wonder do you realize what you're saying...you sound absolutely ridiculous
and for the record don't call them dreadlocks they should be referred to as locks...there is a racist history lesson to be to taught on for the meaning of dread in the word dreadlocks
some people wear ocks because that's what they want who are you to judge them for having their hair that way?

Shaving all body hair including the head is the most hygenic method. I make sure all my test subjects shave from top to bottom, otherwise the odour of jenkem tends to linger. Some young bucks I have used in my experiments can get quite aggressive when they see a razor for the first time, tbut after they have had a few sniffs of jenkem they tend to calm down and allow my assistant, Anita Hanchob to shave them completely. Cutthroat razors are the most efficient, however Anita can be quite clumsy sometimes and we have had a couple of unfortunate accidents. Thankfully, the animals did not suffer too much.

it is a statement-to those with them a good one to others mabye a rediculous look. to me and those that I have dealt with -for the most part it represents the Jamaican Rosta who believes in dope as his god. I have led many to Jesus and seen the dreads come off and some still keep them and try to help others there to come to Jesus too. this is how I came to know Jesus=one I was going to commit suicide having everthing I wanted as a Jew with money.
and the reason is because I finally believed the prophecies and prayed- "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen."
He said he would in Revelation 3:19&20 "I love you, and ask you to repent from your sins quickly and turn to me, Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if you open the door asking me in, I will come in and be your friend."
this is why I came to believe Jesus=As a Jew I was taught Jesus was a liar, yet as I read the Jewish prophecies of the Messiah I had to chose if I would continue to believe a lie or to believe the truth.
A proof of the Bible being the Word of God and not tampered with is the fact that these prophecies are in the Jewish scriptures -while the Jewish people apart from Messianic Judaism say if you believe them your not Jewish any more!

Dreadlocks is not suppose to be a fashion statement it's a cultural thing. I don't know how it got that far.

If you don't know the history of locs then you really shouldn't be commenting on how "ridiculous" they are. I swear some of you people are so mindless and brainwashed it's ridiculous. Please learn to explore and accept different cultures, it will make life a lot better.

Dreadlocks. Ugly greasy locks of hair that inspire dread.
Nothing says "I am a greasy igger-nay" like dreads.

I think dreadlocks look great on people of color, esp. naturally, Black people. Anyone else is just fake and synthetic; they look dirty and tattered. When Black people do them right, they look truly amazing. I haven't seen this in any other race, esp. the ones with naturally blonde hair.

Deadlocks are great if you are into frizzy, nasty, greasy, lice and chigger ridden hair that smells like a dung heap.
Then, if that's your thing then dreadlocks are 'hot'.
