i have a line6 spider III 30 watt amp and it has 4 diff presets (clean, crunch, metal, insane) now...i want to get a distortion sound that isnt too heavy and that is warm and cool (like tom delonges distortion in both AV and blink)

so i got the bass, treble, mid and drive knobs and ive been fuckin around with them but i cant get that distortion sound that i like (similar to blinks)

any help?

Use the crunch setting. Turn the bass and treble up as high as they will go. Keep the drive (gain) and mid settings at about half. This will give your distortion an edge, but it won't slice through anything if you know what I mean.

if you want to get a punky rock sound put it on crunch and **** around with that. or if you have a crappy amp to spare you can put it on clean and poke holes in your speaker with a pen.(i wouldnt reccomend it)
