In flipping through the channels or looking at your local TV listings, reality TV is infesting all networks. There are shows with mental and physicall challenges, drama series, desperate dating series, and morally incorrect plots. Reality TV is at an alarming high...its as if every new season has to have at least one Reality Show to keep their ratings up!!!! Your thoughts are...

i feel you, well i guess this is just my opinion and it is, as more and more people become obese in our nation, they have nothing to do and are lazy so they just stay home, and watch people live their own lives, and they imagine themselves being that skinny girl, or that buff guy, so they become depressed because they aren't so they eat more so they become fatter, and watch more tv, so "fat obese, lazy people= higher ratings for tv" so they need the damn tv... but for me i watch those shows occasionally, if there is nothing to do, or i'm really bored.... i am more of a computer person, but i'm not addicted to the computer, and i do work out so i won't get fat, which in turn gives me a life cuz i feel more confident on my shape, and i can go out and meet new people....

I enjoy them. I watch way too many of them though. The main reason I liked them was that I could normally do other things while watching them and not miss some major plotline. I don't want to waste my summer watching them this year though so I am only watching a few avidly. I look forward to Big Brother but the rest I will likely record on my PVR and zip through at a faster pace.

Isn't all TV an escape from our lives whether it is reality shows, drama, comedy etc. Same as going to a movie or watching one on TV.

americans may not like to "deal with reality" but they can watch it.
