I always see this question:"Who is the best in WWE & ECW?"
That makes no sense, the new ECW is a part of the WWE, just like Raw and Smackdown are.
Vince has complete control over this abomination that the calls "ECW", that means he calls the shots, he makes the rules.
The new ECW is no different from Raw or Smackdown, it is a product of the WWE, and it is completely controlled by the WWE, simple as that.

Most fans of ECW remember when it was an independant entity.
Also, the WWE announcers seem to push the idea as well.
Face it, the selling point of multiple brands is the differences between then. While RAW and Smackdown sell pretty much the same package (though I prefer SD right now) ECW is hyped as being DIFFERENT because that is what Vince wants.
Like you said yourself, Vince and the allmighty dollar make all the decisions.

The original ECW was infact seperate from the WWE. However, nowadays, WWE is the dominant brand of wrestling. This means Vince has power to do whatever he wants. So when he revived ECW, it wasn't the same. Now people belive kayfabe because many WWE fans are kids. Part of the reason is that ECW has a different "feel" than other WWE programing so they think it is seperate. They believe it is seperate and that people from Raw and Smackdown can really "invade" ECW and vice-versa. If that were true, TNA and WWE would collide. But, as long as the WWE has no compitition and is dominant, Vince can continue to fool the fans and do whatever he wants. Basically, ECW is WWE with an "extreme" gimmick. Vince is simply making money on something that was never his. He doesn't care about the fans and is ruining ECW's legacy. I can see from your picture that you like TNA. Me too, man. Just keep watching that and you wont have to put up with this WWE crap.

People treat ECW differently because it is clearly not as big of a priority to WWE as Raw and Smackdown are. It's only an hour long. The wrestler are clearly not as good as the wrestlers on Raw and Smackdown. I think that the WWE did that on purpose to show that the WWE will always be better than ECW was.

remember ECW was founded in 1992, and closed in 2001 when Paul Heyman declared bankruptcy.
Its THEN , 2001 when Vince has a talk with Paul heyman and buys the rights on ECW. And it revived on sci fi as the new ecw we all know on 2006.
So yeah, ECW wasn't part of WWE when they started, they were and independent wrestling federation for years.
Thats why most people get confused and still don't realize that now ECW is part of WWE.

What seperates WWE from INdy promotions is money, fan base and tv. WWE has diverse television merchants to get their product out. they have a extensive dedicated and a few what blind and pig headed fan base (even whilst the WWE places on a terrible product that's nevertheless the suitable wrestling ever mentality). money, they have the money to shelter the large call expertise. even though, now that TNA is here and is starting to be each and every week in that's fan base. Because that's the way that they promote ECW and WWE, as seperate Brands. If they involved the wwe and ecw as one and promoted them as one, then it wouldn't be treated as a seperate brand like tna. But until they promote as one it will always be like that, until it gets sold.

I agree...Its stupid...Its still WWE...Its probably Vince's way of trying to see if ECW can be a different organization on its own with its own show...just so he can expand...He's an idiot...and should leave well enough alone...

because they are people who act like they know what they are talking about, and they really have no clue, on that same question i saw that someone answered that soma joe is the best ECW star, i mean if you are going to make yourself look dumb, at least pick a wrestler in the same promotion
