A bakers 12 is actually 13...

In the ancient years bakers could be penalized by losing an hand if they shortened a customer by giving them less than 12. To prevent a miscount bakers would also give out 13 instead of 12 and that how bakers 12 got started

In a bakers 12 there would have to be 12... but I'm sure you meant a bakers dozen and there are usually 13 there.
