It's a great book, if you like learning about other families and other cultures. it is a bit of a female book, and heavy on the notion of Hispanic America, but it is enjoyable, short chapters, easily read, and with some trauma and real-life ending (every young person's book written lately, with women in it, seems to require a rape scene or a sexual abuse chapter, this one is no different).

I love this book, however. It is fun and funny, mostly.

Its been awhile, but I think it was an okay read. Its pretty easy reading I think, which is why its a good summer book.
