Why have notebook companies not caught on to the concept, that the more customizable it is, the more they sell?!?!

That is what sold me on the Sony C Series. because it comes in colors you want, and with matching mouses.

Major companies are missing the boat! I'm sick of grey and black, what about you?

actually, many companies already have this option, but only if you customize the rest of the laptop. companies like alienware and voodoo have that kind of customization with every computer they sell, but bigger companies that make laptops cheaper like dell, acer, hp, etc. only do two or three colors because its more economical and cost-efficient when mass producing products like laptops.

if you want different colors on your laptop, you can either pay for a more customized laptop(because it costs more to produce individually instead of being mass produced) or you can do it yourself pretty easily from home with a kit.

I actual have had my HP for 5 years and have had little or no problems, greater application matters than hardware. Toshiba is large yet particularly, anybody has a stable product. the secret's to purchase the better end variations. and of direction with Laptops you want to get as plenty improvements as possible, in view that's to costly and not cost effective to do Hardware improvements once you have bought it. additionally, once you locate the form you want, which you should to ask in case you will get it in a commercial or improve casing. i understand Dell makes those for our close by Police branch and the first public can organize them to. they're 10 situations greater stable and attractiveness resistant. i could stay remote from the "Acer" form we've various undesirable success with them at artwork. indexed here are Cnets nicely suited 5 manufacturers are: The Apple professional, Toshiba Portege, HP Envy 17, Samsung Qx410, and the HP Pavilion dm1.

One thing you have not realized yet is that college students only buy a small % of the laptops. The rest are purchased by businessmen and women and most of them could care less about fancy laptops. They just want them to be usefull.

Its just not feasable for most companys.
It will cost a fortune to make different colours , if they dont sell then they loose lots of money.

Its best to make a small profit than risking completely screwing yourself over.

but actually, I think it is MUCH more important to be able to upgrade the HARDWARE inside your laptop. I wish they'd make it easier and cheaper
