Sometimes I find mp3s online (in the form grey bars). Is there a way I can transfer the song to my iTunes so I don't have to go to the website every time I want to hear the song? It's probably pretty simply, but I never figured out how to do it.

if your talking about a quicktime file (nothing else on the screen but the bar) then just click file-save as... and so on. It is saved as an mp3 file!

Depends.
If the site allows you to download the MP3 to your PC, then it is easy to load it on iTunes (use the File->Import function in itunes).

However, many sites allow you to stream audio but NOT to download it. Then you need some s/w to capture streamed audio and save it as an mp3 file.

relies upon. If the positioning enables you to acquire the MP3 on your laptop, then it incredibly is user-friendly to load it on iTunes (use the checklist->Import function in itunes). whether, many web content instruct you how to bypass audio yet to not acquire it. then you definately %. some s/w to seize streamed audio and save it as an mp3 checklist.
