I very much doubt Toyota will retain him beyond the end of the season; they won't keep both him and Trulli. He will have a lot of trouble getting a drive he can be bothered with. It's pretty obvious his motivation has gone, and no top team is going to take him unless it's on a pay-per-score basis, which I doubt he'd accept. I also doubt that he'd want to go to a team below Toyota, as if you can't get motivated by the biggest budget (and one of the top 3 engines) in F1 and the chance to develop a car any way you want then you won't get motivated by very much at all.
Very few drivers lose their motivation and then find it again, Nelson Piquet and Niki Lauda managed it; Keke Rosberg, Nigel Mansell, Mika Hakkinnen, Damon Hill and James Hunt didn't, though at least Rosberg and Hakkinnen quit before it got embarrassing.

It's hasn't yet been confirmed that ralf will leave toyota. He has two more option years left. But since he's not doing too good, I don't expect Toyota will retain him. And I'm not sure if any team is interested in him. Due to:
- his lack of driving
-- his attitude
Ralf can win races but it depends on how he's feeling. In a very good mood, he'll just slice through the field. He must be feeling some extreme feeling before he is able to drive really well. In other words, emotions play a major role. Then it doesn't help that the car is not the best there is. If it's faulty or doesn't suit his drving style, he won't adapt and try to get the most out of it.
Remember Suzuka 2005? That's where Ralf was last on pole. By that time it was the end of the year and the car had been improved, it was the B-spec and it suited him better than trulli and look what happened.

nothing has been confirmed or denied, but it is obvious that Ralph is fighting to keep his seat. My sister must be his no 1 fan and even she is resigned to the fact that he might not be racing next year. i think that he has been dissatisfied for a while and the fire has gone out.
